Windows 10: Unable to unlink my Microsoft account

Note: This was copied from my post on r/WindowsHelp. I posted there, waited a day, and got no response, so I just assumed it got lost in the large number of posts.When I originally set up my account, I used a Microsoft account that I no longer want to use, so I have been trying to figure out how to unlink it to link a different account.However, if I search for how to unlink my Microsoft account from Windows, there is theoretically supposed to be a link on the account page to unlink it, but when I open the account page, the link doesn't exist. Unable to unlink MS account back to local


Thanks for the prompt reply. It's definitely a Microsoft account. Here is the photo showing the no option to change back to a local account.

 

Unlink an old android phone from my pc

I go thru the suggested steps: Start - Settings - Phone - Unlink this PC.

When I first open the "your phone" screen the old phone is listed. Not sure if the phone listed is suppose to be selectable or not, but my is not. When I select "Unlink this PC" the phone listed is removed. When I select "Add Phone" the old phone still
shows. I have removed the old phone from my Microsoft Account. I have rebooted after unlink this pc but I still cannot remove my old phone.
