Windows 10: Unable to update. 0x800700c1

As the title says, I'm unable to update Windows. I'm currently using Windows 11 Home on 23H2, trying to update to KB5049624. I've tried many fixes, and none of them have worked so far so I'm feeling discouraged, any help is welcomed. Here is what I've tried so far that I can remember right now:Running the Windows Update Troubleshooter didn't detect issuesReinstalling Windows failed to installReinstalling Windows using an ISO failed to installResetting my PC failed to installRunning dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth source files cannot be found, also tried to use a WIM file

Error 0x800700c1 in windows 10

I have got the error 0x800700C1 and could not update KB3115259, KB3167685, KB3163018 & KB3149135 since a week ago. I tried both you two methods but the result was the same. I don't wish to follow hbja to go back to "Factory Setting". Can you help me sort
it out with other solutions?

• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

Method 2:

I suggest you to check if the services responsible for Windows update is running. Refer to these steps:

• Press Windows key +R, type “services.msc”
• Locate the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer
  and the Windows Update Services and check if it is running.
• If not, right click on the service and click start to start the service.

1511 to 1607 Update Error 0x800700c1

I have Windows 10 Pro Version 1511, OS Build 10586.589.

Windows continually attempts to download and install the anniversary upgrade.
The download completes, but the installation fails with error code 0x800700c1.
This has happened more than 50 times.
(As appears quite common, I have never experienced an update error before.)

I have tried every suggested fix I can find - nothing works.
I have tried installing from 1607 ISO - fails
I have tried installing using Windows10Upgrade28084.exe - fails
I have tried letting Microsoft Support have a go - fails

I am unable to find the meaning of the error code above, so there seems to be no way to effect action here.
Does anybody have any knowledge on this one?
