Windows 10: unable to update 2019-09 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.8 for...

Each time I attempt to update I get an error: 0x80240034

I have done a sfc/scannnow ...no corruption found...?

What gives

It just downloaded unexpectedly.

Had this same trouble earlier after a clean install of 17763.253, including
KB4486553 Cumulative update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10, version 1809 and Windows Server 2019.

Clean installed 1809, build 17763.379, applied
KB4493510 Servicing stack update for Windows 10 Version 1809: April 2, 2019
KB4490481 April 2, 2019—KB4490481 (OS Build 17763.404)
KB4489192 April 2, 2019 — KB4489192 Cumulative update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10, version 1809 and Windows Server 2019
and a few other software installations with their own reboots.


On the first internet connection, checked WU for updates, and it calls for KB4480056, a .NET Framework CU from January 2019. Has anyone else seen this? *sarc *Sad *Mad
