Windows 10: Unable to update laptop from 1607 - error 0x80004005

I've been spinning my wheels on this error for 2 days now. The history is that i had to restore my computer to factory image to resolve a graphics bug. Since restoring i had found my nvidea graphics driver had not been able to update which i found was due to outdated windows version being incompatible with the latest nvidea driver.It turns out the factory version is 1607 and it initially updates fine until it hites the update for 20H2 where it just fails repeatedly with the error 0x80004005. Ive set it back to factory image again to try, and i've tried the below fix a few times without resolut

The game is COD 2 and am running Windows 10 x64.... am sure I have installed this on a previous Windows 10 build, tried a quick google though it's throwing up a load of old threads related to Windows XP
