    Unable to 'update link' in a word doc after using the paste special function from excel.


    Hi,I regularly use the paste special function to insert a group of cells from excel into a word document.From here I can go and make changes to the Excel and return to the word document and select the corresponding table. I can then right click - select update link and the new data will be updated in the word document.For some reason the Update Link option is no longer showing on the toolbar. Hoping someone can help?Not sure what has happened? The first picture shows the Update Link button present. The second shows the update link button missing - it only has the Edit Link and Open link Opt

    Unable to open Excel or Word

    I am unable to open a specific Excel File or Excel or Word at all. It shows and error message (-2147163890). Any suggestions

    Right click "word" or "excel" docs

    I have updated all drives and ensured windows is up to date.

    PROBLEM: If I right click any "word" or "excel" document I loose all my icons on my desktop, my screen goes blank for a bout 3-5 seconds.

    The location of the document does not matter, desktop or within a folder such as "my docs".

    I am unable to right click and re-name documents or any other function under the right click function.

    I have tried everything I could as well as contract the "Office" windows group and they claim it is a OS problem since I have not opened the document yet.
