Windows 10: Unable to update S mode

My grandma has a laptop with Windows 10 S mode, but for whatever reason, it won't update from version 1909. It's important she stays on S mode for safety reasons, but it would be nice to update it for better securityI don't know the exact specs of her laptop at the moment, but the problem is that when I open Windows Update, I click check for updates, and it says it's up to date, but the "Your device is missing important updates and quality fixes" text still shows up. I'm really confusedIs 1909 the latest version of S mode?

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

Unable to access Internet while in Windows 10 Safe Mode with Networking

To assist you better, please provide few details.

1) Are you able to connect to internet through normal mode?

2) Do you receive any error message, while trying to connect to internet in safe mode?

I would suggest you to try updating your network drivers by booting your system in normal mode and check if it helps.

  Press Windows + x, select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Right click the Network Adapter drivers.
  
• 
  Select Update driver software.
