    I am trying to update the "Intel Killer Performance suite" app following an update to the drivers, but windows store is failing to update giving a perplexing error code that says i must reformat my storage to FAT32 or ExFat. specific error code is 0x80073CFD. Last time i checked, FAT32 was no longer mainstream, and ExFAT was only used for things like SD cards and such. all my drives are NTFS and all have a minimum freespace of 1Tb or more. i have run chkdsk on ALL my drives, and all came back without any errors. why am I all of a sudden required to use FAT32 for my windows store apps? did MS s

    I can't upadate the apps in my windows 10 store. I keep getting the error message, 0x80070490. I've tried many of the recommended fixes for this, but now when I try to update anything the store crashes. Any helpful suggestions are

    • Kindly let us know if you are able to see any error message/ notification.

    I suggest you to login through administrator Microsoft Account and perform the below steps and check if it helps:

    Step 1: Re-register the Store App and check.


    • Right click on Start button on the desktop and select
      Command Prompt (Admin).

    • Here, User Account Control window pops up and click on
      Yes to open Command Prompt with administrator privileges.

    • Type the below command in the Command Prompt:

    • powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

    Unable to download apps from Windows Store

    Hi Nishadha,

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    Do you face an issue with a particular\ all apps?

    As you have issue with the store downloading apps, try to run these inbuilt troubleshooters.

    We would suggest you to try the steps mentioned in the link

    • Type troubleshooting in the search box and hit Enter.
    • Click View all from the left pane and select Windows store apps.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions and check.

    and

    Follow the same steps to use the Windows update troubleshooter.
