Windows 10: Unable to update version 1803 to 1903 even if I use Microsoft MediaCreationTool1903.exe tool.

Hi Everyone.


My computer is set to Automatic System Update, so I guess I am running the latest 1803 version.

If I try to use the System update I see a message saying:
"You're currently running a version of Windows that's nearing the end of support. We recommend you update to the most recent version of Windows 10 now to get the latest features and security improvements." and it says "Your System is up to date" and it will not upgrade to version 1903

On the other hand, if I run MediaCreationTool1903.exe tool it comes back with the following a message:
There was a problem running this tool: error code: 0x8007007E-0xB0000.

Of course I ran Windows Update troubleshoot did not help ….


My computer: Asus series M51AD, Intel core i7-4790 3.60 GHZ, 16.0 GB RAM running Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 OS build 17134-950.

What can I do?

Unable to update Windows 10 Pro version 1709 to 1803

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1709 to the latest version 1803 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101
• 0x80070643

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

 

Microsoft auto-updating Windows 10 version 1803 and earlier to 1903


I have my test machine (System Two below) currently running 1803 build 17134.829. I'm going to leave it running 24/7. The idea is to ignore the suggestions and the 'Download and install now' for as long as possible. This will test just how close to the end of support MS will let it get before pushing 1903 without me asking for it.
