    Unable to update windows 10 from 1703 to 1903


    • Tried normal update failed.
    • Tried with Windows Update assistance failed.

    Issue

    Windows Tried to install Update and after installing it asking to restart on restart it starts updating and then crashes.

    On starting again update is rolled back.

    Unable to update Windows 10 to May 1903

    Unable to update Windows 10 to May 1903 version as am told that intel RST is incompatible. Have updated RST to 15.9.6.1044 as recommended. The 1903 update still fails with the same issue. Have run Windows 10 update Troubleshoot as suggested by Microsoft.
    Updates done. Makes no difference. Loaded and ran Intel Driver Update Utility as suggested by an answers.microsort.com fix. Used that to update driver to intel recommended 16.8.2.1002. Same issue. Have tried using Windows Media Creation tool to do the 1903
    update as recommended by several answers.microsort.com fixes. Same issue. Spent 8 hours on this now. Thanks in anticipation.

    Microsoft Decreasing Windows 10 Updates Downtime in Fall Creators Update

    *Sigh*
    Windows 10 1607/1703, Office 2016, browser of choice with "remember tabs" feature.
    If rebooted due to updates, Windows WILL "try" to bring it all back up just like you left it. Yes, it's a feature that exists.
