Windows 10: Unable to upgrade my laptop OS from 32-bit to 64-bit.

I have been trying to change the OS from an 32-bit one to an 64-bit one. The laptop initially came with 32-bit Windows 7 installed. However, it has 64-bit based processor, which means it supports 64-bit OS. When I upgraded to Windows 10, there was no options to change system language or whether it'll be 32-bit or 64-bit and it straight up installed 32-bit Windows 10.

I tried installing OS again, which changed nothing as there would be no windows to choose installation details. I downloaded Windows.iso and mounted it to disk, but when I click on setup, I get an error stating "Your PC can't run this program". I created an USB stick with Windows 10 on it to boot up from there. Trying to boot up from USB stick using advanced startup doesn't even bring up the option to boot from the stick. Manually booting from USB stick by pressing F12 when turning on the laptop brings up a recovery page displaying some sort of error (made a post about it yesterday). The problem doesn't lie in UBS stick itself, since I have reinstalled the OS to the stick twice and it gives the same error. Even somehow lost Bluetooth while messing around with OS. I can't find any other options. Should I just revert to Windows 7 and try using USB stick that way?

Windows 10 Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit

So, Windows 10 Upgrade is being rolled out worldwide, and I have 'reserved' my upgrade.

Currently my computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I'm planning to 'upgrade' it to Windows 10 64-bit (via fresh install, of course).

After reading many references, these will be the steps I'll do:

1. Let the "Get Windows 10" app upgrade my OS to Windows 10 32-bit
   
2. Note the activation key
   
3. Download the Installation Media for Windows 10, but choosing 64-bit instead
   
4. Perform a clean install
   
5. Reactivate using the activation key in Step #2
   

(Of course I'll backup my data first.)

However, I still have some questions:

1. On Windows 7, the activation key does not differ between 32- or 64-bit versions. Is it still so with Windows 10?
   
2. Will I be able to download a different architecture on Step #3?
   
3. Is there anything I need to prepare beforehand?

How to change 32 bit to 64 bit OS

I initially purchased my laptop with 64 bit OS but when upgrading to windows 10 it changed to 32 bit OS. Please how can i make it become a 64 bit again.
