Windows 10: Unable to upgrade to Windows 10 OS Version 2004 Update.

Hi, this is Gavin. I am using HP Laptop, Model Number: HP 14-am 090TU. I am currently having Windows 10 OS Version 1909 OS Build 18363.959.

I would first want to how is Windows 10 OS Version 1909 differerent from Latest Version "2004", is there any major difference in Menu, Looks, Microsoft Edge Web Browser etc.

I want to upgrade to Latest Windows 10 OS Version "2004". But currently when i try to upgrade to Windows Updates it shows me message i.e "You're up to date" Last checked: Today, 06:44 PM. I would like to know why i am not able to get Latest Windows 10 OS Version "2004". Why so??? Is it My Laptop not compatable or supported.

Pls check it out & reply. Waiting for help.

Having problem update to Windows 10, version 2004

following the below steps.

Latest Windows Feature Pack 2004 update manually steps:

Step: 1

Open the link below

Step 2:

Click Update which will download the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

Step 4: It will start downloading the update and also shows the percentage of download.

Windows 10 version 2004 Upgrade

My laptop prompted me to update to the latest version of Windows 10 version 2004. I had Windows 10 Pro version 1909 at the time. Th eupdate to 2004 was successful but the OS Build now shows Windows 10 Home Single Language instead of Windows 10 Pro - why
is this?

I tried entering the Windows 10 Pro product key in the change product key field but I get an error:

"Unable to upgrade your edition - something interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again. (0x80070057)"

I have tried several times and I am definitely connected to the internet but it won't change the product key. This laptop originally had Windows 8.1 installed on it and was upgraded to Windows 10 when Microsoft allowed upgrades for free - yeah back then.
It has since been updated without any issues right up to Windows 10 version 1909 and has always remained a Windows 10 Pro edition. Now after the latest update it has seemingly been downgraded to Windows 10 Home Single Language Edition.

Microsoft or anyone else care to explain?

Since the issue is still not solved so as to the next step I would suggest you roll back the Windows 10 2004 update and try updating it again following the below instructions.

To Rollback windows 2004 update follow the below instructions:

Open Settings by typing in the search box next to windows icon

Click on Update & Security.

Click on Recovery.

Under “Go back to the previous version of Windows 10,” click the Get started button.

Select a reason why you’re uninstalling version 2004.

Click the Next button.

Click the No, thanks button.

Click the Next button.

Click the Next button again.

Click the Go back to the earlier build button.

Once you complete the steps, the device will remove the latest feature update, and it’ll revert to the previous version
