Windows 10: Unable to upgrade windows 10 from 1803 to 1903, always stuck at 90%

Hi Guys. I've been unable to update to 1903 version for months. Every time I initiate an update, or it does it automatically, it stops at 90% without any error message. It's stuck at 90% for hours ( 10 and more ).

Over the last few months, I've tried:

- Media creation tool
- Updated drivers and BIOS
- DISM
- sfc /scannow
- Windows Update/Upgrade Assistant, tried Windows In-Place-Upgrade as well
- Stop Windows Update service, delete folder SoftwareDistribution from C:/Windows,
- Delete catroot2 folder from C:/Windows/system32
- Clear UEFI variables
- Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Disable antivirus
- Tried a few different YouTube vids

So far I have never had any troubles with the windows updates, that's the first time

Can someone help me with this?

Upgrading from version 1803 to version 1903

I cannot get my Windows 10 desktop to install feature upgrade version 1903. I'm stuck on 1803 and can't find a way to upgrade to 1903.

Sorry for the slow response, i've been without internet for a while! I have tried doing an in-place upgrade as you suggested below, but I am still met with the same error when trying to install it. See below:





I think i'm going to try messaging JakeWell and see if he can help me attempt the technical route.

update stuck at 90%

after windows tell me to restart the computer, it gets stuck at 90% for more than 10 hours long, and I've tried to update & had this for 3 times, still not getting up to date.

current version 1803, attempt to update to 1903.

tried troubleshooting windows update but this happens again after it tells me to restart pc, couldn't pass this 90% process issue, always stuck at 90%, so I had no choice but to restart the computer and let it cancel itself.

so how does this update work anyway, does it download files during the update % screen or what? it makes no sense taking that much long if it install things from hdd, if it does take more than 10 hours at least let me get some clue to estimate how much more
longer will it take, is it cleaning up hdd space or extracting files or moving files here and there or checking something else... or is there something wrong with some files... the hdd lamp not even flashing. let me have that clue, a simple '90%' doesn't help.
