Windows 10: unable to upgrade your edition

Last week Microsoft Update ran and did its thing.We noticed the computer freezing/locking. Try to do hard shutdown and it was hit or miss.Ran the restore settings prior to the update.It failed. The amount of stuff it showed was completely foreign to me been using Windows since 98.Rebooted and it seemed ok but now we have a message on our desktop the appears on everything: activate windowsgo to settings to activate windowsSo I do like it says.I get the So I run the troubleshooterSo I select upgrade your edition of windowsI have searched the community posts and the windows help for the 0x80070
