  1. Unable to use a wireless connection on a computer with a built-in adapter

    Hi,

I have an older Lenovo K450 desktop computer with a built-in WiFi adapter, however, recently I am only able to access the internet through a wired Ethernet cable connection as the options to access via a wireless connection are now non-existent. I am not sure how long exactly the ability to access a wireless connection has been missing, but it has been like this the last few weeks in recollection.

I have tried multiple fixes for issues similar to this including:

    • Running network troubleshooter - which came back with no issues.
    • Checking the settings - to which I found there to be no WiFi settings at all.
    • Installing fresh wireless drivers from Lenovo themselves - which appeared to make no change.
    • Checking the Network Connections option in the Control Panel - to which there were no wireless connections available.
    • Checking under Network Adapters (including hidden items) in the Device Manager - to which I found again nothing.
    • Adding legacy hardware in the Device Manager - again, changing nothing.
    • Completing a full Network Reset - which again, changed nothing.

All of these were to no success

Other computers I own do not have this issue so it is exclusive to this machine.

I have not done anything related to network settings in years.

    Please help.

    :)

Windows Wireless Display Adapter-not connecting anymore

    Hello Phillip,

Did you notice any changes on your PC prior to the issue? I suggest that you follow the steps outlined in this support article:
    Troubleshooting Wireless Display Adapters.

Since updating drivers did not work, in addition, you can try to reset the Wireless Adapter.

    1. On the adapter, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds.
    2. When the message " Ready to connect "shows, open the
      Action Center.
    3. Select Connect, and in the list of displays, select
      Microsoft
      Wireless Display Adapter.

Please respond to this thread to let me know how the issue progresses. Similarly, if you have more questions, please inform me by replying to this post.

  3. Unable to connect to WIFI (Wireless Adapter issue)

Thanks for the quick turn around, but even after performing above steps I'm still unable to connect to WIFI wirelessly.

I'm able to connect Wi-Fi via Ethernet port, but once I remove the wired Ethernet connection the network goes and a red 'x' mark comes at the bottom of the network task bar icon.

My main concern is that I'm unable to connect my laptop to the WIFI wirelessly as it was working earlier.

In the Device Manager -> Network Adapters - > Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless adapter,

this adapter driver is enabled and a yellow flag is present near the icon, that means that wireless adapter is not working properly.

I've reinstalled this driver many times but issue still persists.

    Kindly help

    Hi Carl,

It's possible that your wireless network adapter is incompatible with the latest Windows 10 update, causing network connectivity issues. We'd like to learn more about your concern so that we could provide the proper resolution. We just have a few questions
