  1. Unable to use C:\Windows\System32\net.exe

I was receiving an access denied error when attempting to use the net view command, so I adjusted the security settings by adding my individual admin account and granting full control. I also took ownership of the app, which I believe had been owned by the trusted installer account. I removed the trusted installer account, the All Application Packages, and the All Restricted Application Packages groups. Now I'm receiving a 6118 error that the list of servers is unavailable.I also noticed a net1.exe application right below net.exe in the Sys32 folder, which cannot be normal. Anyone know what to

    :)

okay ive done the same thing as you but i cant put the file back into the folder

    • Copy nvlddmkm.sys in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5518e59e8d3b48f4\ to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and replace the existing one.

Unable to login after entering account password in windows 10

    Hi Vanshaj

    Thank you for your reply.

I somehow managed to get a bootable dvd of windows 10 and tried running chkdsk command but it did not helped.

I tried following steps to create a new profile:

    • boot from windows 10 dvd.
    • Opened cmd by hitting SHIFT+F10.
    • By default it was showing X:\source>
    • I tried to look for windows\system32 in both C: and D: drives (though my windows was installed in CUnable to use C:\Windows\System32\net.exe :).
    • But was able to locate it in X:\windows\system32
    • when i tried renaming utilman.exe it was unable to locate utilman.exe in system32 folder
    • I tried renaming sticky keys exe (sethc.exe) too but was unable to find it too.
Please suggest if anything else can be done to save my personal data.

    Thanks
