Windows 10: Unable to use Microsoft Hello account on OSX Mac Remote Desktop to access Win11 Pro

This is simply exasperating.... I cannot seem to figure out how to get my Mac OSX client to login to a brand new Windows 11 Pro computer using my Windows Hello credentials. The password is absolutely correct can use it to log into live, etc, but it won't work with RDP. I added "Everyone" to the computers RDP access list, and I disabled the "must use Hello users" because that was the only pay that 'password' was an available login option on the Win11 computer. However, I tried to login with my Hello credentials even before I told Windows to accept non-Hello users, and the behavior was the

Where to download a (MS) Remote Desktop Connection app for Mac OSX 10.7.5 to connect to Windows 10?

Since the default Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection app, only works from OSX 10.9 and higher. I can't seem to find one for my Mac OSX 10.7.5. To connect from a Mac to Windows 10.

Does anyone have a suggestion, what's a good remote desktop app to use and where to download it. E.g. can I find an older version from Microsoft to download somewhere?

Using the PC name requires your network to resolve the name correctly through DNS. In many home networks, you have to use the IP address instead of the host name to connect.

Setting Up Remote Desktop from Mac (Windows 11 Pro)

Hello,

Having trouble connecting to my PC from a Mac using the Remote Desktop function with Windows 11 Pro OS (Microsoft Business Standard).

I've run through all the steps provided by Microsoft (see HERE).

While in the Mac version of the Microsoft Remote Desktop app, I'm getting an "unable to connect" message: "We couldn't connect to the remote PC because your credentials did not work. If you are using your work account you must disable Network Level Authentication on the remote machine. If you are using a local account, verify your username and password."

I'm concerned that disabling the NLA will leave my machine vulnerable...

Am I missing something; what am I missing?
