Windows 10: unable to use Microsoft store

Hello, I am using windows 10, I am in Canada and my error code is 0x80070422. I am unable to use the Microsoft store on my pc. whenever I open the store it looks normal and I can navigate through different pages within the store but as soon as I try to select any app, I get a screen that reads "Turn on Windows Update So Store can show you the stuff that works best on your device." and then there is a button saying "get more info" but it opens Microsoft edge and brings me to a page that doesn't exist. I paid for and downloaded a pc repair program from Microsoft and after doing a fully scan and supposedly repairing my pc I still have the same issue. the troubleshooter doesn't fix the issue and the pc is fully up to date.

Please answer these question to assist you better.

• When you say " Microsoft Corporation icon" are you referring to Start menu?
• How exactly are you trying to access Store from Edge or chrome?

If you are referring to Start menu missing on Taskbar then refer the link below and follow the troubleshooting steps suggested.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

I understand how it could be when the applications doesn’t work as they are supposed to. We will look into this. However, please reply to the following questions to help you in a better way:

• Are you getting any error message?
  
• Since when are you facing this issue?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to follow the steps from the article
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store to fix the issues with the Microsoft apps that are not launching. Also, follow the steps from the article
