Windows 10: Unable to use my Windows 10/11 Home License on new PC

Hey, I have tried pretty much everything, but I just can not get to activate windows on my new pc. I have deactivated windows 10 on my old pc. I have tried to activate using the digital license on the new pc with fresh windows 11 home install but failed, afterwards I have also tried to use a fresh windows 10 home install in the hope of being able to use the license key and then "free upgrade" to windows 11, but that failed too.More technical:On the old pc I have used, slmgr.vbs -upk to deactivate the digital license.On the new pc I have tried to enter the product key which I have obtained via

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 10 upgrade license

The interesting question is that: the upgrade takes place before 29 of July. If I upgrade the PC (change the MB), and I transfer the Win 8.1 license to this new PC (cause 8.1 is retail FPP), will I be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free? Or a upgrade license must be bought?

 

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
