Windows 10: Unable to use NVIDIA GPU ONLY in the Display Mode

I have a new laptop and I've connected it to an external monitor with a display cable one end being a mini display port and the other end being a normal one. When trying to play games, the game is blurry and screen tears because of the display mode being stuck at optimus. The reason that I'm given is that I'm using an external monitor, which is why I'm stuck on optimus. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Unable to detect NVIDIA GPU after latest windows 10 update

I believe I am having the same issue. The solution that you suggested does not work as I am unable to uninstall the drivers through the Device Manager as my GPU is not being detected and is therefore not listed under Display Adapters.

I have an Nvidia GTX 765M as well as an Intel integrated graphics card. At the moment the machine is only recognizing the inferior Intel card. I booted into the BIOS and noticed that my discrete graphics card was listed as [NOT DETECTED].

This appears to be an issue for several other users and I am quite confident it is an error on the Microsoft side.

 

Persistent NVIDIA GPU Issue with Code 43 on Windows 11

Despite the GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q Design) being recognized in the BIOS and listed in Device Manager, it does not appear in Task Manager. As a result, my system defaults to using the integrated Intel(R) UHD Graphics.
In Device Manager, next to the driver, a Code 43 error is reported with the message 'The device has reported a problem and has been stopped.' Additionally, the NVIDIA Control Panel does not launch.

Here's a brief summary of the steps I've already attempted, unfortunately without success:

1. Complete uninstallation of NVIDIA drivers in Safe Mode
   
2. Updating drivers directly from NVIDIA's website
   
3. Installing drivers through NVIDIA GeForce Experience
   
4. Reinstalling the NVIDIA Control Panel
   
5. Restarting NVIDIA Display Container LS from Services
   

Here are the specifications of my laptop:

• MSI Prestige 15 A10SC
  
• Intel Core i7-10710U
  
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design
  
• 16 GB RAM
  
• 512 GB SSD

When I change my display mode on "only gpu nvidia" in nvidia control panel, my display becomes black and freeze. Also displays an error with a stop code: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, and caused a problem: nvlddmkm.sys
