Windows 10: Unable to use PIN in Lock Screen

I use the same pin to login daily on my main admin account, but the prompt option did not come up. Instead I am given the password option but I forgot. I remember the PIN for the admin account.I have access to my Microsoft Account with the linked device but can't login with my Microsoft password.I have access to other standard local accounts.I tried going into safe mode to try sfc utility and DISM but have no perms to do so.Is there a way for me to recover or change the main admin account password?

• Are you trying to log-in using Microsoft account or local account?
• Are you trying to enter pin or password?

Assuming that this issue might be because of keyboard, I suggest you to use on-screen keyboard from the lock screen and check if it helps.

Steps: From the lock screen, click on Ease of access and click on On-screen keyboard.

unable to change the lock screen Wallpaper.

  Are you facing issues while trying to change the lock screen Wallpaper?

  Are you not able to choose the directory where the wallpapers has been saved?
  

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to restart the computer and check if you are able to successfully change the lock screen wallpaper.

  From Desktop, right click and select
  Personalize.
  
• 
  In Personalization window, click on
  Lock Screen in the left pane.
  
• 
  And choose wallpaper you would like to apply for the lock screen by choosing the browse option.

  Close the Personalization window.

I would suggest you to follow the steps given below and check.

Step1: Boot your system in safe mode.

Refer:

Start your PC in safe mode in
Windows 10

If you are able to boot into safe mode update display drivers.

Step 2:
Update display drivers.



a. Press Windows + X, Click
Device Manager.

b. Expand Display
Adapters.

c. Check if the name of the graphic card is the list.

d. Right click on the Display Adapter’s name and click
Update.

e. You may reinstall the drivers from Computer Manufacturer’s website.
