Windows 10: Unable to use remote desktop from other windows machine but IOS is fine

I've been using remote desktop for a long time to remote into my desktop at home and give it encoding jobs and the like. But as of late for some reason my Laptop is unable to connect. It can see the machine and even show the correct user name when trying to connect but after inputting the password is throws an error;

"An authentication error has occurred. The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted."

But here is the kicker. When using the remote desktop client app from my iPhone, iPad, or old Android tablet it works fine and without issue. So what would be the problem here? The Desktop is running Windows 10 Pro Version: 2004 Build: 19041.804. The Laptop is running Windows 10 Home Version: 2004 Build: 19041.804.

Remote Desktop

Okay guys need some help here before going crazy...
I am trying to setup a remote desktop connection and see exactly what the logged on user is looking at with out going through Windows Remote Desktop.

Since its local network I don't have any password or want to setup a password.

Any suggestions are appreciated

 

Remote Desktop not working for my Windows/10 machine

I restored a computer to original Windows/10, set it to allow remote access, and still can't access it using Remote Desktop from another machine.

They are both network connected to the same wireless router.

I'm logged into the same Microsoft account on both.

I'm trying to access it using either computername or IP address - neither works.

I CAN successfully run TRACERT using either computername or IP address and both work.

Windows Firewall does not list an application named "Remote Desktop" (still doesn't connect even if I turn the firewall off).

Thoughts? Suggestions?
