    Unable to use Synaptics Touchpad in HP Win 10


    I'm not able to use the Synaptics TouchPad of my laptop. Moreover, I'm not even able to find the settings related to that. When I go to Device Manager, it still doesn't show, but after I click on SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES, I can see it, showing a sign like-1.2.You can see the status there.I re-installed the device and then restarted my PC, luckily, it started working. BUT.Again today the same situation happened. I tried the updating, re-installing, but nothing is working. So please, can anyone help me, asap!??PS- I'm using an external USB Mouse right now.

    Synaptics Touchpad on Windows 10

    I just discovered that a Windows 10 driver is available on the Synaptics website.

    My current driver is the standard 19.0.12.95 that everyone is having problems with - ME TOO!

    I've tried many of the previous suggestions but none have worked - still no one or two finger scrolling using the touchpad. This is my one and only gripe with the Win 7 to Win 10 conversion.

    I just discovered that a driver version 19.0.19.1 is available on the Synaptics website. Being a higher version number, I decided to give it a try.

    Installation was smooth, a restart was required and I found the TouchPad driver number had been updated and discovered that the Settings page was totally changed.

    But UNFORTUNATELY, the TouchPad scrolling problems continue unchanged...

    Laptop is HP DV4-2160

    Microsoft and Synaptics... Please help us!

    hp 650 g1 touchpad/clickpad buttons (synaptics) stopped working.

    Hi, please confirm there appears to be a driver for your touchpad listed in your Device Manager.

    What do you see here? If you see these settings, are they correct?

    Is there a setting in the BIOS to disable your touchpad?

    Your PC appears to be about 5 years old and has drivers listed for Win 10- is that correct?

    unable to disable touchpad on Win 10 HP laptop

    Problem solved! I went to HP website and downloaded their latest touchpad driver update and "Synaptics touchpad" showed up in the list on start up screen (the one that shows up when you tap the windows symbol on the taskbar). The box shows up with the
    "disable" function when you select the "Synaptics touchpad". Hope this helps others that have this problem.
