Windows 10: Unable to use Windows Snip & Sketch

I am a Windows 10 64-bit user today I updated windows with 2 official updates in the settings app1 - Windows .NET framework 3.5 & 4.8 for 21h1 something like that2 - Windows Cumulative Update for 21h1 something like thatand the Latest Nvidia graphic driver after all 3 updates 2 Windows, 1 Graphics Driver I am unable to use Windows Snip & Sketch in 3 Ways1 - By opening the app & trying to snip2 - By using Win+Shift+s3 - Screen Snip button in Notification PanelWhat I tried to resolve this1 - Resetting app from the Settings2 - Repairing app from the Settings3 - Reinstalling it

Thank you for updating me that information. If you mean the snip and sketch? Based on your description the snipping tool is crashing?

Please try to reset Snip and Sketch

Press Start then search Apps and Features

Select Snip and Sketch on the list

Click Terminate then Reset

If it doesn't work, Please try to create a new administrator account then check if everything is working.

Snip and Sketch Awkward

Use Windows+shift+s to launch Snip and Sketch. Can snip a screenshot.

Now the problem is this: after snipping the screen shot, it does not automatically appear in the Snip and Sketch app. So I open Snip and Sketch and there's nothing on it.

So I have choose 'new' and snip the screen yet again.

I recall using this once and taking a screenshot and voila! Snip and Sketch appeared with the screen shot duly in the app's workspace, ready for annotations and saving etc. This facility has disappeared. I have re-set it according to instructions, and even
reinstalled it - yet the problem persists.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

 

Snip & Sketch keeps overriding clipboard

Here are the few steps you can try to fix the issue.

Method 1

Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
and try the suggested steps and check if the issue still persists. If the issue still persists try with the method 2.

Method 2

Reset Snip & Sketch app

1. Press Windows + I key and click on
   Apps.
   
2. Click on Apps & features. Select Sketch & Snip app from the available list of installed apps.
   
3. Click on Snip & Sketch > Advanced Options.
   
4. Click on Reset option.
   
5. Restart the computer once and check the status of the issue.
   
6. Let us know if the issue still persists.
