Windows 10: Unable to use Word

Earlier we found that I had both 365 Home and 365 Office. 365 Office was removed and now I cannot use Word at all. How do I recover Word, so I can use my computer again?

Word, Excel and PowerPoint are Office applications. There are different Office versions. You may follow the steps below to check which version of Office you are using.

• 
  Go to File Then select Account.
  
• 
  Click on About Word (Which have symbol of question mark).
  

I also suggest you to check multiple versions of Microsoft Office is installed or not in your system. You may follow the steps below:

• 
  Go to Control panel.
  
• 
  Click on programs and features.

I understand that you want to disable word suggestions when you type any word. I’ll certainly help you with the steps.



To disable text suggestions, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Devices, and click on
   Typing on the left pane.
   
3. Now, under Typing toggle the switch to off for
   Show text suggestions as I type on the software keyboard.
   
4. Under Hardware keyboard, toggle the switch to on for
   Show text suggestions as I type.

Unable to find Word documents all of a sudden on Windows 10

As per the description I understand that you are unable to find word documents.

Do let us know the following to understand the issue and assist you better:

• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Have you activated System Restore point on your device?
• What are the troubleshooting steps you have performed while trying to resolve this issue?
• What exactly happens when you try to search for the files manually from Search bar?

Step 1: I suggest you to check if the content is hidden on your device.

Windows + E, click on View tab, check mark the
Hidden items

Step 2: I suggest you to run a virus scan to check if it resolves the issue.
