Windows 10: Unable to watch DVD's

Since I upgraded to windows 11, I have not been able to watch DVD's with me external DVD player. Any help is appreciated.

Unable to burn DVD's using Windows Meia Player

As you are unable to burn DVD using Windows Media Player, I suggest you to follow the troubleshooting steps provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

• Type Troubleshooting in the Search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
• Click on Windows Media Player DVD and follow the on-screen instructions.

Method 2: Run the Windows Media Player DVD troubleshooter.

• Type Troubleshooting in the Search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
• Click on Windows Media Player DVD and follow the on-screen instructions.

I suggest you to use your favorite search engine to search for any DVD burner software and burn the disc.

DVD player unable to play media files from computer.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to work through the steps below to identify the cause of the problem.

The problem could lie with:

• The connector cables/connections - are they securely fastened? Are they in the right place? Are all the electrical sockets in good working order?
• The DVD disc itself - Check if a different DVD works
• The DVD Player's optical reader (the lens which 'reads' the data from DVDs)

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check if decreasing the speed of your burner while writing the disk help.
