Unable to Wirelessly Cast 4k @ 60hz to External Monitor - Only Supports 30hz Max

Hello All,I have a new Lenovo Slim Pro 7 running Windows 11. I am currently casting to an HP U27 4k Wireless monitor in 4k resolution but it seems the Miracast display port driver v3 maxes out at 30hz and there is not option in the list of modes for 3840 x 2160 @ 60hz. There is however an option to switch to 60hz in the display settings but it has an asterisk and when i switch to it, it drops the resolution to 1920 x 1080.From what i've read the HP monitor can run 4k @ 60hz. is there anything i can do to wirelessly cast 4k @ 60hz without having to buy a 4k dongle or plug in wireless adapter? W

    :)

    Hdmi and 4k 60hz/30hz Questions

I used an old dell xps 15 9550 for many years. Will no longer be using it anymore and will be using a new laptop. Had it connected with 2 external monitors... one is 32' 4k monitor via usb-c to displayport cable. The other 24' 1920x1200 monitor I connect it via hdmi to dvi cable. 1. The hdmi port on this xps 15 9550 laptop seem to be 1.4? What is the max resolution I could actually done with the hdmi port? They hdmi port no longer works anymore but could I have done 4k resolution? If so, it would be 30hz correct? 2. I also heard you do not want 4k at 30hz because there is lag... correct? So whether you have 1 external monitor or 2 external monitor, you never want 30hz and always want 60hz? But if you just do basic things, then 30hz isn't an issue? I heard there was some lag with 30hz but that is only if you play games or do something intensive? 3. When I had set up the 2 external monitors, I did this with those 2 cables and no docking station or anything like that. Now i know the 32' 4k monitor was 60hz. But when I am using 1920x1200 resolution on the 24' monitor that is connected from hdmi to dvi, am I getting 60hz or not? I recall it showed that a while back when I checked the monitor settings but I'm not sure. Would it been possible it was 1920x1200 at 30hz? The other thing is if it was 1920x1200 at 30hz, would I notice unbearable lag? 4. So when looking at a laptop, if they mention an hdmi port, make sure it is at least hdmi 2.0 in order for that hdmi port to do 4k resolution at 60hz right? I heard there is hdmi 1.2 and 1.4. So 1.2 can't even do 4k and max is 1920x1080 at 60hz?

  3. Monitor stuck at 4K@30hz after Windows update

I just installed a new Windows update today (30/03/2023) and after the installation, my monitor was on 30hz. Before the update, the monitor was at 4K@60hz and I did not change anything on my setup or my settings. After the update, the monitor was at 30hz, I looked into Display settings -> Advanced display settings -> Adapter properties -> List modes, and the 3840x2560 60hz mode is missing and it was there before. My monitor is Samsung U32J59x.

  4. Unable to Wirelessly Cast 4k @ 60hz to External Monitor - Only Supports 30hz Max

HDR and WCG will not turn on for 4k 60hz, only 30hz.

    Hi there,

I have a gtx 1080ti and a Sony x900e tv. Both support HDR10. However if I set the the refresh rate to 4k @ 60hz via the Nvidia Control Panel Windows 10 won't enable HDR.

If I set it to 30hz, Windows 10 will enable HDR.

My TV is confirmed to be compatible at 4k 60hz HDR while Enhanced Format is enabled.

my set up is 3 monitors (2 24" samsung monitors, and 1 Sony tv which is the main display).

It does work at 1080p @ 60hz for HDR though.

    Can anyone help? Thanks!
