Windows 10: Unactivated Windows 10 Pro hard-freezing?

I’ve had this problem for years and caused me to basically give up on my PC. It randomly freezes, I can’t move the mouse or use keyboard, and I am forced to hold the power button on my computer. I am running an unactivated version of windows 10 pro.

My temps are completely fine so it’s not overheating, and I’ve ran many virus checks with malwarebytes and other reliable programs, but I don’t think I’ve noticed any crashes at all in my BIOS. Could this mean these crashes are being caused by my windows not being activated? I thought this would be impossible, but I am not sure, does anyone know if this could be a possibility.

Windows 10 (Pro 64bit) randomly freezes

• Disable or uninstall any anti-virus that you've installed to prevent it from interfering with the upgrade to Windows 10.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
