  1. Unbelievably large .sys files...

(I was unsure which topic to choose ; this might be more appropriate under the Windows settings topic (?))

Is it acceptable*, or normal, or whatever, for a "new" system with barely a couple gigabytes of personal data to have ridiculously oversized .sys files ?

I am aware of the hibernate deactivation and will probably proceed to that, but some fixing, or insight would be appreciated.

This system has 16GB of RAM, and has very low uptime while booted on Windows (rarely ever more than a couple hours).

This behaviour was found while using (g)parted on another OS, and the Windows partition (220GB) was unexpectedly filled.

It is also hard to understand how this little user data would need such a large pagefile.sys.....

*Now I understand that Microsoft is doing all in its power to limit and restrain users' basic rights, or hide useful information, but still..

    :)
