    I found a similar post from 3 years ago here, but that solution no longer applies.

    Can anyone figure this out? There is a black triangle (flat edge on top, pointy edged down) in the middle just above the task bar. It is unclickable, and in fact there is a larger (invisible) window around it that blocks the cursor (by that I mean moving the cursor over a text editor window, the cursor goes from 'edit mode' into just a mouse arrow).

    This may have something to do with the forced MS Edge install that started running itself this morning.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response. No, I haven't figured how how to get rid of these popup task bars. They drive me crazy. But I don't know how better to describe them to you and taking a picture of the screen isn't working for me.

    This problem occurs when composing email on Google but also when composing a document using Word 2010.

    Thank you for asking. Any other suggestions for me?
