Windows 10: Unconfigured keyboard layouts appearing in keyboard selector

The screenshot should be self explanatory, I'm getting 2 keyboard layouts in the selector both English UK even though they are not configured I removed English UK a long time ago.This is incredibly frustrating because I have no way to remove this.I've tried windows updates, going into language settings to remove them, but they aren't there. Not sure what else I can try.

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

I do not know how to install this, any advise will be appreciated.

Hello,
I have Windows 10 with English interface language and German keyboard layout (ENG-DE).
Periodically the ENG-US keyboard is added (The language bar appears again), even if the US layout it is not listed in the language options (???)
At this time I have to add manually the US layout, then remove it, now the language bar disappears again.

Any idea about? Can I prevent the US layout from bein installed?
