So, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to fix this problem. It worked before in which on my multi-monitor setup I have a trio monitor setup, I was able to set the background for each monitor screen independently by setting it for Monitor 1, Monitor 2, and Monitor 3, or set for all of them. Over the past week or so, somehow this got changed. It could be the result of a recent update either on my video card's driver or some other Windows update installation. Now, it shows the same monitor listed three times when I right-click, but no matter which one I select, it sets the

  3. Changing the background in Windows 10 from picture foders created on the hard drive?

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

    • Open Desktop Background by right clicking on the desktop clicking Personalization

    • Click the picture or color that you want to use for your desktop background.

    • If the picture you want to use isn't in the list of desktop background pictures, click an item in the Picture location list to see other categories, or click Browse to search for the picture on your computer.
When you find the picture that you want, double-click it. It will become your desktop background.

    Hope this helps.

Personalization: Centering background image does not work

    Hi Sayan,

I haven't had a chance to create another account yet, but I can answer your initial questions:

    • Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
No, this is a new PC with Win 10 installed on it. (It's a work PC.)

    • Did you try to select a different image to see if that works?
Yes, I've tried several different images.

    • Is it an abrupt issue? Also, do have any System Restore point set in Windows prior to the issue?
Again, I've only had the PC for a couple of weeks and I haven't done anything to the personalization settings prior to trying to trying to set a background image in the center of the screen. No restores.

Another question: Do you think it matters that I have a dual monitor setup? (The second one is an extension of the first one - I can move the mouse between the two. It is not a duplicate of the first monitor.)

I'm glad to hear that it is supposed to work - I was afraid that MS had removed the ability to have an image in the center of a solid color background.

    Thanks!
