Windows 10: Under Windows 10 Settings > Network & Internet there is no wifi option

Some time ago under Windows 10 Settings > Network & Internet no wifi option was available on my desktop. It's not been a problem since I am hard wired to my network. Now I want to evaluate Verizon's 54G network but without a wifi connection I can't do that. All of my wifi networks currently work on all my other devices 3 smart phones, two fire tablets, a fire TV adapter, two laptops, smart TV etc. I've been through all the troubleshooting steps that come up. Any ideas?

Network & Internet WIFI in Windows 10 Home edition...

The Hotspot is connected via USB. It is a USB device ONLY.





As you can see, there is no WIFI option in the list.

Let us know the following information to assist you better with this issue:

• Are you using wired or wireless internet connection?
• What is the model of the network adapter you are using?

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check for the internet options.

• Press Windows + X, click on
  Control Panel, select Category and then select
  Large or Small icons.
• Click on Internet Options, go to Connections tab, click on
  LAN Settings.
• Make sure that Proxy Server is unchecked even if using Firefox.
• Check settings in Firefox in Tools / Options /Advanced Connections / Settings (should be either use system proxy settings or no proxy).

Step 2: I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article try the troubleshooting steps mentioned and check if it helps.

Step 3: Also, try to reset the Network Adapter and check if the issue persists.

ETHERNET OPTION IS NOT THERE IN NETWORK AND INTERNET SETTINGS

Mostly I use wifi for internet but recently I want to use LAN (wired) connection for internet but it is not working. then i recoginze there was no ethernet option in network and internet settings, i updated drivers of realtek ethernet which was suggested
by support assistant of dell and it is installed but that was not showing in my device manager. So how can i get ethernet connection?
