Windows 10: Undiscoverable semi-Freezing Error

The issue I have is very particular and happens every so often. Usually after my computer has been asleep for a long time and I open it up, it has trouble working properly. ___________Some of the issues are as follows:- Windows start button doesn't open the start menu - It appears as if I pushed it, but it doesn't actually open the menu- Browsers can't get out to internet, even if it is connected to Wi-Fi with a safe and reliable network path- I can't scroll down on a browser window, even if it was fully loaded before the freeze- My mouse software no longer recognizes that my mouse is plu

Screen Freezing up

Andre, thanks for your suggestions. I performed all steps as you listed and it appears that there were

some problems that have been corrected. I will let you know in a day or so if the "freeze" problem

occurs again. Many thanks for your help --- this took longer than I expected!
