Windows 10: Undo a Windows Reset

So I was having issues with Windows and thought that resetting it would fix my problem. Of course I want to keep all my files so I choose that option in the recovery page in settings. I select "Yes" I would like to restore apps and settings. I do the reset, and all of my files in Program Files and Program Files x86 are gone! Why would it delete most of my personal files when I select the button that says "keeps your personal files"!? All I have left is the stuff in my Documents, Videos, Pictures etc. libraries. Is there any way I can recover my old files?

How to undo factory reset in windows 10

I had reset my laptop to factory settings without deleting personal files, but one of my software was deleted with its own database.

Any suggestions for how to undo this reset effect? There is no system restore point.

What can I do to recover that software or at least the database mdf and ldf file

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
