Unexpected BSOD - Clean Install of W10 - BSOD's still Reoccurring.

Heya, I've been experiencing BSOD's for the better part of 7-9 months.
I've tried to combat these doing Driver Updates, etc.. And I've come as far as last week, completely reinstalling Windows10 from scratch several times (with BSOD's happening within several hours of a clean install, while installing drivers, etc...) - I've also did a BIOS update on my system from "Motherboard | Support - GIGABYTE Global"
Things that I'm doing when it happens is.
    • Watching a movie or
    • Playing a game (Final Fantasy 14)
    • Streaming or
    • System is Idling

BSOD's are mainly caused by ntoskrnl.exe (BlueScreenView)

    Common BSOD's
    • MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    • KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
    • PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (Most recently/first time I've seen this)

    :)

  2. LifeCam VX-3000 on Windows 10 causing blue screen error

I am getting a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with a message that there is a video error. I upgraded from W7 to W10. I had a LifeCam VX-3000 connected to the computer and it operated fine with W7. I upgraded to 10 and I am getting the BSOD every 30 minutes.
I have disconnected LifeCam VX-3000. But still get BSOD. Is there a solution other than a clean install?

Hi, i'm not an expert (long time lurker) but since you haven't had any help yet, I took a look at your dumps. I'm still learning so if I have anything wrong then please let me know *Smile

There were two .dmp files, both blame a memory issue. Have you tested your ram? If not, you may want to follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM BSOD Tutorials

I also see that some driver updates have failed, however I'm not sure if they have been completed successfully since. Please could you check that your drivers are up to date?

What brand/make/model/wattage PSU are you using? What PCIe slot is your GPU installed on? What are your RAM settings at?

Tested all 4 together, within a few seconds I was bombarded with errors. Removed all modules, and tested 1 at a time. Modules I labelled 1-2-3-4, modules 2-4 had errors so I pulled them out completely. (running 16 GB now instead of 32 GB). The 2 8GB sticks did 8 passes, perfectly. Module 2, and Module 4 threw up errors almost instantly, with Module 2 showing the worst, like 50+ errors barely a few seconds in, where Module 4 showed 1, but I still pulled it after 30seconds.

Where/how do I find my RAM settings?

My apologies, it was used for educational purposes, which I understand is strictly not acceptable (but as you know the price of software for students is high/hard to afford, unless you get a discount, which somewhat helps). I've completely removed it from my system/uninstalled and restored the system back. I'm really sorry.

The latest log collectors did not collect any mini dumps.
    1) There is no Ccleaner installed. Is there any other software that cleans files?
    2) In the left lower corner type: clean > open disk cleanup > scroll up and down > post images into the thread
    3) In the left lower corner type: system > open system control panel > on the left pane click advanced system settings >
3a) under performance click on settings > on performance options click on the advanced tab > under virtual memory click on change > post into the thread an image of the virtual memory window
3b) under startup and recovery click settings > post an image of the startup and recovery window into the thread

For all tests/steps please post images into the thread.

The debugging of 2 mini dumps did not display a definitive misbehaving driver.
    Bugchecks were 1A and 50.

    1) open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) Backup all files to another drive or to the cloud
    7) Make a backup image using Macrium:
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free
    8) Place the backup image onto another drive or into the cloud
    9) Make a brand new restore point
    10) Windows driver verifier is a tool which stimulates drivers and misbehaving will repetitively produce BSOD until they are fixed or until the tool is turned off.
When using the tool you must know the 3 methods to turn off the tool so that you can return to the desktop and fix the misbehaving driver. Then restart the tool and fix the next misbehaving driver. Replacement drivers can be reinstalled either as soon as drivers are unistalled or after all misbehaving drivers have been uninstalled. The end result should be the same.

To turn off windows driver verifier all of the methods are done using the windows advanced troubleshooting menu.
    1) startup options (not startup repair) > click restart > select #6 safe mode with command prompt > type:
    verifier /reset
    2) command prompt > Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources >
    type: verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
    3) system restore
The methods to turn off windows driver verifier should be done in order and only if the prior method failed. When system restore is used the mini dump is often lost and little progress is made in the troubleshooting.

When using windows driver verifier it sometimes can be hard to boot or the computer can be sluggish.
If this becomes problematic the test settings can be changed.
The tool will be used for approximately 48 hours.
After the last BSOD the tool will be used for an additional 36 hours of typical computer use.
If there are no more BSOD the tool will be turned off the this troubleshooting step will be completed.
