    Unexpected I/O error has occurred


    Hi, When I booted up my laptop today it said that there was an unexpected error as seen from the image below but I did not know what to press because this just happened today and after a minute my laptop just shut down automatically when I didnt press any of the options. When I tried to boot it again it booted up normally but should I do anything to check if the error has been resolved or should I leave it as is?

    The error message "File \Boot\BCD, Error code: 0xc00000e9, An unexpected I/O error has occurred"
    occurs when removable storage device is removed while it’s in use or it is failing. We'd like to ask few questions so we can isolate your concern properly.Kindly answer the following:

    • How did you perform clean install? Did you us a USB drive as your media creation tool?
    • Are you seeing the error message in the recovery mode or once the boot completed?
    • did you make any hardware or software changes to your computer prior to the issue?

    Hi Friends,

    My Windows 10 (Home Basic 64 bit) PC is not booting at all constantly rebooting itself without any manual intervention. I am stuck on this error screen, which says the following

    What should I do now?

    Windows 10 an unexpected i/o error has occured file:\Boot\BCD Error code: 0xc00000e9

    I have a Gateway with Windows7 which I upgraded online to the free Windows 10. I'm not able to do any of the steps because my computer keep blacking out and showing error. Do I use the same recovery method?
