Windows 10: Unexpected_Store_Expection BSOD issues

Hello!For the past 9 or so days, my laptop HP Envy x360 has been experiencing frequent crashes with the blue screen of death BSOD and the main error that I see is "UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION". My laptop crashes multiple times everyday and this is very annoying. It has been working perfectly fine since I bought it 2 years ago.I have looked online to solve the issue and have tried pretty much everything suggested but nothing has worked. I don't know what to do. I have checked my Event Viewer and it usually shows an error: "Event 161, volmgr" - "Dump file creation failed due to error during d

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

To diagnose and fix this issue, try the following methods.

Method 1: Power troubleshooter.

I would suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press the ‘Windows + X’ key on the keyboard.
• Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press Enter.
• Select Troubleshooting. Click on
  view all and select Power.
• Click next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persist follow the below method.

Method 2: Restore Power Option Settings.

I would suggest you to restore default settings of power plan and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + x and select the option
  Control Panel.
• Click on the Power Options icon.
• Click on Change advanced power settings.
• Select the option “Restore default settings for this plan”.

Method 3: I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article and check if it helps.

BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.
