Windows 10: Unexplained Disappearance of Disk Space After Game Updates: Seeking Assistance and Solutions

Hello,I am addressing an issue that occurred on my computer after updating several games. Today, a system notification suddenly appeared indicating a lack of space on the C drive, which surprised me. Typically, I maintain about 20 gigabytes of free space on this drive, so this notification raised doubts for me.To investigate the situation, I manually calculated the space used on the disk and then used a third-party program, Scanner, to accurately determine the occupied space. Disappearing disk space..

Recently my disk space (i have a roughly half full 500gb drive) has started to disappear.. At first I assume it was a virus of some kind, but i have AVG and Spybot S&D both installed and they can find nothing.. I also can't find any humungous folders that are causing the space to go. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

Low Disk Space error

Hi,

I suggest you to delete the unwanted applications or games installed on the device and also perform a Disk Cleanup.

In order to delete the games or applications, which has been downloaded from the Windows Store you need to right click on the game and select
Uninstall option from the Start menu.

If the games that you are downloaded are .exe or the applications which are not downloaded from the Windows Store, you may try deleting it from the Control panel.

To do so, please follow the below steps.

• Right Click on Start Menu.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click Programs.
• Click Programs and Features.
  
• Click on the programs that you would like to uninstall.

My disk space is gone

Try to run theSystem Maintenance Troubleshooter.

• 
  Press Windows key + W and type
  Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Select view all on the top left corner.
  
• 
  Click System Maintenance,
  follow onscreen instructions.
  

I suggest you to run Check Disk which performs an analysis of the disk. Refer to the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Command prompt (Admin).
• Type chkdsk /f and hit enter.
