    Unexplained dowloads

Today, Host Process for Windows Services has downloaded 1GB with no request, permission, or explanation.I have metered broadband during the day. I do not take kindly to 10% of the month's allowance being used in this way.The two main servers involved were: a122.dscg3.akamai.net and cds.f7y3z2w8.hwcdn.netHave you anty idea what was being downloaded and how I can control it, please?

    :)

  2. Nokia X6 - unexplained active connection

oh dear - another unexplained connection established this morning!

i've checked the packet data setting - it was set to "when needed".

I've taken the bold step of deleting "Vodafone internet GPRS" from the list of internet destinations. I now only have wifi connections stored in the internet destinations folder.

I expected therefore to now be unable to connect to the internet via GPRS, and this has indeed happened. I will phone vodafone and get them to resend the GPRS settings via text.

    Boring.

In the meantime i know for sure that the phone won't be able to establish any unexplained connections!

    the mystery continues though.....

i'll wait a while though - something (an app) may prompt me that it wants to connect to the internet and so i'll hopefully be able to identify the culprit then!
