Windows 10: Unexplained high memory usage

I'm using a laptop with Windows 10 and 8 GBs of RAM.


Whenever I go into task manager, memory usage is usually around 80%, despite the processes themselves only taking up around 2GB or around 25%.

I've searched the internet for help and done things like disabling Sysmain, adjusting Windows appearance to maximize performance, clearing Standby files, going the Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu route to set the Start value to 4, but none of them proved successful.


How do I locate the cause of the rest of the usage and deal with it? Hope you all can help.
