Windows 10: Unfortunately, google play has stopped. Insignia flex elite

I have an insignia flex elite from 2016 and today I got it working after a few hours of waiting. When I finally put my password in, I was bombarded by this pop up that said “unfortunately google play has stopped” on my screen. I had to close it 10 or so times before I could do anything else. When I open the settings app, it comes up again. When I try to search anything on it, the pop up comes again, as well as when I open any app. Most apps including settings don’t load and have the pop up. I tried clearing the “play games” app and accidentally uninstalled all the updates to that app, so now

i finally found the solution's to this problem----been working on this for a long time--- what i did was install an old version of window 10 home and installed all the drivers for the insignia which i got on multiple searches ---this has not worked since
the window 10 update over a year ago tried all the other methods of repair and nothing worked---i wouldn't give up on this and this worked i now have a fully functioning insignia flex i am disabling windows 10 update so this wont happen again

Unfortunately, all of these are about disconnect issue. My problem is that it doesn't even see the controller when trying to pair.

However, I tried with me Elite 2 - and bingo, that one works flawlessly (no disconnect issues for me).

So what I have is that

• original controller - works
  
• Elite 2 controller - works
  
• Elite controller - does NOT work
  

I ended up using my 'Elite 2' on PC and my 'Elite' for my Xbox
