  1. Unhelpful answers.microsoft.com Website Redirect

Recently, this website has undergone some changes. Now, when I try to go back to my search engine after viewing a page, the back button doesn't work properly. Instead of returning to my search results, I get stuck on the same page. I have to rapidly click the back button multiple times, similar to how clickbait sites behave. This is frustrating because when I'm researching, I shouldn't have to struggle with my browser just to leave an unhelpful page and return to my search results. Sometimes, I end up clicking back too many times and lose track of where I was in my research. Fix this issue. Mi

    :)

  2. Redirecting website

    Hi Pancho,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I understand your inconvenience. Don’t worry. We will assist to resolve this issue.

It can be extremely frustrating if you are trying to visit a Web page but are automatically redirected to another. This tactic is sometimes used to as a way to direct your attention to an advertisement. Other times, a hacker may be trying to install
spyware or malware on your computer.

It seems that your computer is infected by virus and malware. I would suggest you to run Full Virus Scan using
    Windows Defender.

Also if you are using Internet Explorer, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Open the Internet Explorer browser and click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the page.

Step 2: Click on "Internet Options," then click the "Security" tab. In the "Security Level for this Zone" box, use the slider to set the security to "High." This stops Internet Explorer from using ActiveX, preventing Web
pages from redirecting you to others. Although this stops the redirecting action, legitimate websites may not load properly, or at all. Some functions on websites become disabled, such as links to other websites, video or PDF files. This method is extreme,
but it stops redirects while you scan the computer for viruses.

Step 3: Click on "Trusted Sites." Add any websites that you go to frequently and that you trust. These websites will behave as normal, without restrictions.

Step 4: Run anti-spyware or anti-malware software on your computer (see Resources). Redirects are often causes by a virus, which software can find and eliminate. If any viruses are found and deleted, this is likely to
end the redirects you are experiencing.

Step 5: Go back to the "Internet Options" window, and set the security slider back to its initial position. If the anti-spyware program eliminated the source of the redirects, your browser now behaves normally.

Try the above step and let us know if it helps. For further assistance feel free to post your queries in Microsoft forums. We will be glad to assist you.

    Thank You.

  3. New Unhelpful answers.microsoft.com Website Redirect

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I conducted a test for you and was unable to reproduce your problem.

In order to better help you narrow down the scope of the problem. You can first try the following steps.

    • 1. What browser are you using? You can replace the browser and check if it is caused by a browser issue.

    • 2. Has your browser installed any third-party extensions and plugins, disabled them, or opened them in private mode. Generally speaking, the privacy mode of a browser can disable all extensions and plugins. If you are using the Edge browser, you can follow this link to open the privacy mode window and check if the problem disappears.

    • 3. Replace your network and check if different networks will have any impact. You can replace WiFi, network cables, etc.

    • 4. Create a new local administrator account and check if it is caused by a corruption in your current account configuration.

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

    • 5. Another possibility is that Microsoft servers may experience temporary instability, which can lead to problems. If you encounter this situation, you can wait for a period of time to check if it returns to normal.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards

    New Unhelpful answers.microsoft.com Website Redirect

Somewhat recently this website has changed. Whenever I try to look at a page and then hit the back button, to go back to my search engine, the back button doesn't work and instead I am stuck on the same page. I end up having to click the back button several times fast, like a run-of-the-mill clickbait site. Please correct this. When I am researching, I don't want to have to fight with my browser to get away from an unhelpful thread and back to my search results. If I end up having to fight with it, sometimes I end up clicking back too many times and losing where I left off in search results that I was using for my research.
