Windows 10: "unidentified network" on win7 guest

I have a Windows 7 guest OS running under a Windows 7 SP1 x64 host. The VirtualBox network settings are "attached to: Internal Network on three machines of Virtual box .running VirtualBox Version 6.1.22 on host.i am trying to create network of three machines on virtualbox. guest adapter indicates "unidentified network" on all the three ,can't change network location to home and create HomeGroup. IP adress: 192.168.1.71,192.168.1.72,192.168.1.73 respectively no default gateway assigned .the IP Address on host 192.168.1.100 default gateway 192.168.1.1Top

Connected to a guest network instead of my home network

From the description provided, I understand that you want to switch from a Guest Network to Home Network.

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to check whether the network discovery is turned to on.

Follow the below steps.

Step 1: Type network in the search box and choose
Network and Sharing Center in the list to open it.

Step 2: Select Change advanced sharing settings to move on.

Step 3: Choose Turn on network discovery or
Turn off network discovery in the settings, and tap Save changes.

Ethernet connection suddenly not working, showing as 'Unidentified Network'

To fix the issue of Unidentified Network in Windows 10/8/7, the following steps could be following in sequence:

1. Turn off the Airplane mode.
2. Update the Network Card drivers.
3. Disable the security software temporarily.
4. Switch off the Fast Startup feature.
5. Change your DNS servers.
6. Run these commands.
7. Diagnose the network.

 

Unidentified network no internet access

Followed all the steps still isn't working. The only difference in network is that before it use to show "Unidentified network" and after giving the IP's its showing my routers name then "No internet"
When I use this cable and port on my other Toshiba laptop it works fine.
