Windows 10: Unidentified Network

I build my new desktop several months ago. I used a thirty party internet adapter to access the WiFi and it works until now. Now my internet logo keep going back and forth from having internet access to no internet. When I tried to troubleshoot the problem, it said "WIFI doesn't have valid IP address". On the network and sharing center, the labeling keep switching between CenturyLink(my internet provider) and unidentified network. Sometime the problem would fix itself but it always comes back if I turn it off/put to sleep and turn it back on. Resetting the modem also fix the problem temporarily, but it always returns after I turn the computer on. I tried to fix it by using the admin cmd, unstalling the internet adapter driver, manually inputting the IP address, but nothing works. Also One important information is all other device can use the WiFi, only my desktop can't.

Unidentified network


Hi, Badrobot and thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately the issue is still not resolved. The connection still shows as Unidentified and it disconnects frequently.

 

Unidentified network no internet access

Followed all the steps still isn't working. The only difference in network is that before it use to show "Unidentified network" and after giving the IP's its showing my routers name then "No internet"
When I use this cable and port on my other Toshiba laptop it works fine.
