Windows 10: Unigram Videos: Sound will not switch on. Can't toggle it on.

For a long time: a year or more, Unigram worked fine on my win10 machine. Now suddenly the videos are all sound muted. There is a 'x' on the speaker icon. That was always there and could be toggled to mute or not. Now it won't toggle. any ideas?* Moved from Community Center

To Turn On or Off Toggle Keys Tone

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

As you have an issue with sound on toggle keys, I suggest you to change the toggle keys settings
and check.

Steps:

• Press Windows key from keyboard and type
  Toggle.
• Select Hear a tone while pressing Caps lock, Num lock and Scroll lock.
• Under Toggle keys, change the settings and check.

If the issue still persists, Run troubleshooter from
Fix sound problems and check.

Because you have done me the courtesy or replying, I will comment on your suggestions rather than simply
burying myself in the AutoIt script literature.

Although the Task Bar COULD be hidden or locked, I can confidently assert that in the circumstances of MY use, the task bar would be locked, but not hidden. Unlocking would be one of the steps (the first ?) in the 'batch file' clicking on which would achieve my aim.
I guess if I confine myself to ONE switch that TOGGLES, another step would involve determining where the bar is 'right now'.

Different screen sizes and resolutions would not be applicable to MY USE of the script.

'not really worth the effort' I suspect there is wisdom in that, but the challenge attracts me.

I have spent MUCH effort in automating the switch from which of two monitors is the Primary one, and ended up with an unreliable script - using Macro Express.

 

Windows 10 Toggle Keys do not sound

Hello,

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro due to the support of Win 7 being discontinued.

Everything went smoothly but there is an issue with the Toggle Keys not making any sound.

The issue is very similar to this topic:

I have tried everything in that topic but no luck in solving the issue.

Now here's the strange thing about it. If I press CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the Gray screen with these options:

• Lock
• Switch User
• Sign Out
• Change a Password
• Task Manager

I can now press Num Lock / Caps Lock / Scroll Lock and the sound does activate with the usual Low-High beep. When I press ESC or click CANCEL to return to Windows the Toggle Keys sound then does not activate anymore.

Also, the Toggle Keys sound will work when Windows boots to the initial login screen requesting my password. Once logged in it will not sound.
