Windows 10: uninstall Windows Update KB5044029

Windows installed an update which killed my computer programs all freeze, went through all of that on another question. Restore did not work the update apparently wiped older restore points. I went to the earliest available available and restore failed. It finally came down that the only thing I can do to reverse the Windows assault is to uninstall the updates, according to this forum. One update is Servicing stack, installed on 10/13/24 10.0.19041,4950. It seems this cannot be uninstalled. Is that correct???Second, there was an update installed two days earlier - update KB5044029. How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

free version doesn't list 64bit applications, hence totally helpless to remove them, while native windows uninstaller will do that.

only paid version revo uninstaller pro does and also another paid program called your uninstaller.
