Windows 10: UNINSTALLED ANTI-VIRUS STILL TURNED ON....

So a couple of months ago i installed AVIRA PRIME in my laptop. I didn't found it as good as KASPERSKY. So i moved on to KASPERSKY INTERNET SECURITY for better protection overall.The issue is that whenever I got to the 'PROTECTION TAB' of 'PC MANAGER' , I am still seeing that AVIRA is protecting my computer even though I uninstalled it fully. It's not just with PC MANAGER, when I open WINDOWS SECURITY and click on PROVIDERS SECURITYStill I am seeing that AVIRA is protecting my PC.HOW IS THIS EVEN PROSSIBLE??I think that AVIRA has become a rough program which doesn't want to get itself delete

2) Do you get any error message, when trying to uninstall?



I suggest you to follow the below steps to uninstall Avira Anti-virus and check if it helps.

1) Press Windows key + x and select Programs and Features.

2) Right click on the Avira Anti-virus and select Uninstall.

After removal of the third party anti-virus, Windows 8/10 Defender needs to be
activated if you choose to use it. When uninstalling the third-party anti-virus Defender should automatically turn itself on but sometimes you may receive a message indicating

What was the Anti-Virus program which you have uninstalled?

There is a possibility that some traces of that Anti-Virus still remains on your PC and you might need to run clean up tool.
