Windows 10: uninstalled app still running

I am trying to reinstall an app I had uninstalled because it crashed. The installer says the app is already running and I should click on its icon in the notification tray to exit it. However, there is no icon in the notification tray. I had uninstalled the app and removed its residual folders in the AppData folder. I have been looking through the internet for a solution but haven't found any that seemed applicable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We cannot disable Photos app on windows 10. However, we can uninstall the app and when you require the app you can download it through Windows Store.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to uninstall the Photo app.

  Type Power Shell in the Search bar,
  right-click on Windows PowerShell and click on
  Run as administrator.

  Type the following commands, press Enter
  key after each command, in the given order.
  

1. Get-AppxPackage

(This will view all the apps installed in your account.)

2. Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers

(This will view all Windows apps installed in the computer.)

3. Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.Photos | Remove-AppxPackage

(This will remove/uninstall the Photo app.)

• Restart the system and check.

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused
