Windows 10: Uninstalling WSL lead to infinite Blue screen of the death loop on reboot

Yesterday I have got my new machine and after a lot of trouble I was able to install and activate Windows 10 Pro. After installing all needed drivers I have began downloading software that I used on my old machine. That lead me to installing WSL. WSL itself installed fine with Ubuntu. I could not start WSL session. So I figured I might have to reinstall it. I have tried to reboot the system but could not get into log into Windows. After many attempts I reached for completely reinstalling the whole system from scratch. I have inserted my USB flash drive with new system and storage driver becaus

Installing WSL leads to a blue screen loop, how can I prevent this?

I have before tried installing WSL and ubuntu through the store, but they complained about a missing feature (as discussed in the previous support request) see the following in the ubuntu application:

WslRegisterDistribution failed with error: 0x80370114

Error: 0x80370114 The operation could not be started because a required feature is not installed.

I read somewhere that Hyper-V was the missing feature, installing lead to booting into a blue screen, it did not appear to be recoverable.

I reached the same result (blue screen loop) when installing WSL over command prompt.

Microsoft Support suggested that it was due to the security features I use (I am using Core isolation, and data encryption (Bit locker))

My OS is windows 11 pro.

Is there a solution to both maintain the same or better security and run WSL?

 

installing wsl is causing my system to reboot in bsod loop

For something in my education I have to install wsl in order to use linux on my windows system. I tried to install it in PowerShell using following command:

wsl --install

So far so good, no error message and powershell tells me to reboot the sytem.

But when I reboot the system I get a blue screen of death and the pc keeps rebooting into the same bsod until I can get back into the sytem by restoring from a restore point. However after that wsl isn't installed.

The blue screen of death code is SECURE_PCI_CONFIG_SPACE_ACCESS saying AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys failed.

i again have to restore my system to a previous point to recover from this error but I'm unable to install WSL no matter what I try when it reboots, it goes into BSOD loop everytime

I have a HP OMEN Laptop 15-en0xxx with AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Nvidea Graphics with Windows 11 Home Insider 22H2.

The blue screen of death code is SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, saying AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys failed.

I would appreciate if I could get help to fix this issue so that I can install wsl without windows crashing every time.
