Windows 10: Universal C runtime Stack Buffer Overrun in Explorer.exe

since installing the May LCU, I have been experiencing a strange phenomenon when logging onto windows. after entering my logon info, windows proceeds to login, but then the screen turns black, and then the whole taskbar start menu, search bar, tasktray, and clock blinks rappidly for about 30 seconds or so, before the windows session is ready for me to use. looking at the event viewer has revealed a ton of errors involving explorer.exe with exception code 0xc0000409 and module UCRTBASE.DLL I have done a little research on my own about the issue and the components involved. but there is little

Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow

I received info on my PC when I re-start it: Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow of a stack-based buffer in this application. svchost.exe

So I wrote to Bitdefender and received this answer:

Stack-based buffer overrun/overflow is a bug it means that a program writes more data to a buffer located on the stack than that is actually allocated for the buffer. It is a general programming malfunction.



This issue is with Microsoft Windows, and thus please contact Microsoft in regards to this as we can only assist with Bitdefender related issues.

I'm so worry. I don't know what to do? Need some help.

 

LogonUI.exe : the system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer

i got this recently "logonui.exe the system detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer" may you explain why that error happened?

 

System reports "detected an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer

We ran into a system alert box (screenshot as below) complaining "an overrun of a stack-based buffer" in iexplorer randomly.





The OS is Windows Server 2019 and is in zh-CN language. The error message can be translated as "The system detected an overrun of a stack-based
buffer in this application. This overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this application".

Iexplorer looks functioning normal after dismissing the alert, but it's really annoying to our users.

Anyone can help with

1) why this happens? how can it be fixed?

2) if it's a but from IE or system, how can we avoid this alert?

3) is it possible to disable system from prompting this kind of alert?
